We invite you to a unique concert as part of the 58th artistic season – an event of special significance in the history of the ensemble. Once again, in an extremely rare occurrence, the orchestra will be conducted by guest conductor – the outstanding maestro Michał Nesterowicz. This type of situation has only happened a few times in the history of the Orchestra, which makes this evening a true musical celebration and a unique experience for the audience.
The soloist of the concert will be the outstanding violinist Agata Szymczewska – winner of the 13th Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition, an artist of international renown, valued for her exceptional interpretative sensitivity and technical mastery.
The evening's program includes masterpieces from different eras and styles, creating a fascinating musical journey:
Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy – Sinfonia for Strings No. 10 in B minor, MWV N10
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – Violin Concerto in D major, KV218
Osvaldo Golijov – Muertes del Ángel from the Last Round cycle
Dmitri Shostakovich – Chamber Symphony, Op. 110 bis
From Mozart's classical elegance, through Mendelssohn's romantic expression, to the moving intensity of 20th-century music, this concert will delight both connoisseurs and listeners seeking profound artistic experiences.
